Kanye West
Now that I’ve published this, I can’t deny it. I have actually bought not one, but two Kanye West albums in the past few days. Don’t worry, though; I’ve managed to keep the smug hipster level sky high since I bought the “Explicit” version just because it was truer to the artist intent. Good grief I’m unbearable.
Heart to heart, they are good albums. I wouldn’t say they are amazingly great or groundbreaking, but they have devistating hooks and seem to avoid pop superficiality in both composition and lyrics. Although I could be wrong. There are a lot of songs that I take to be satire that might, in fact, be more of an ode.
So, there it is. I bought a Kanye West album and I liked it. (which reminds me of another song that is slowly quickly killing our culture and i wont talk about now)
