It seems I just can’t slip the bug. No matter how long I let my faithful blog go to waste, the itch to get back and write in it again haunts me. So, back I come. I’m sorry my vigilant bearer of text for the absence.

The most difficult part, though, is trying to decide what is the best format to write in and how much planning is optimal.

This is obviously a free flow style of writing. In the end, I have no doubt that no one in their right mind would actually want to read it. I mean, I can’t see it having a purposeful flow or a deep, rich subtext. The best I can hope for is the style I usually write in; punch out a sentence at a time, going back over each sentence for hasty revisions only to publish it once I’m done without reading the entire post from start to finish to check for any errors of omission or factuality or just plain contradictions. It’s a rough (ie, stupid) way of doing things, but to the uneducated it seems like fun. This brings me to the issue of planning out what I’m going to write.

Planning out what I’m going to write is something which I haven’t done often. The times I have been able to plan out beforehand what I’m going to write has led to much more enjoyable (and hopefully more fun to read) entries. The problem with planning is manifold, however. Planning involves having an intriguing story to start with. Something funny from the news or a neat little plot or some neat factoid to give the writing form. In my life of anti-grandeur these are things that can easily slip by me. If I were to be honest, I’d say that really I just don’t remember them when fingers meet keys. It also involves weaving these sometimes disparate themes into one smoothly flowing entity. This is the fun part; the part of planning that makes up for having to remember your day.

So, perhaps in the end there is a happy medium. Do remember the events of the day, storing up interesting, noteworthy nuggets of meaning and jot them down in my own cumbersome style. Here’s to my little piece of internet real estate. Joo r0ck!
