You’ve got to check these guys out, they have the best sound I’ve heard in a real long time. But don’t get your hopes up about getting any of their CD’s any time soon. I just got mine in after ordering them 2 weeks ago. Keep reading for all the skinny on your new favorite band.


Originating in Sweden, Namur is a Christian band whose sound is similar Radiohead and Interpol. They’re making waves over in the Swedish music scene, and we can only hope that they’ll make a tsunami big enough to travel cross the pond. The internet might just do that.

I heard about them on the internet radio station CMRadio by chance one day and was instantly hooked. It’s like they have the sound I’ve been looking for in a Christian band for the last year; the itch I just couldn’t scratch, if you will.

What’s that, you want more? How exactly can you listen to them, you ask? Why do you need to listen to them? I already told you they are awesome! Hrmph. Well, the best way for you right now is to go to namur.nu and visit their downloads link. They have full versions of 2 of their songs for download, and you can listen to samples of the rest.

So, until I find the next Big Band ™, I remain your super-cool music guy.

Well, I’d have to say the old lady has quite the taste in music. Much to my amazement, I have heard of (and in most cases really like) most of your bands there:

The Flaming Lips - Like most of their stuff. “Oh, Yoshime…they want to eat me.” Makes me laugh every time.

Yeah yeah yeahs - Not too into punk, myself.

Interpol - Actually listening to them right now. Literally. Great group.

Radiohead - Yeah, I absolutely love their music, I just can’t listen to it. Maybe i’ll make a post about it one day, but probably not.

Thanks for the link on your site! A little widdwe, itsy bitsy, tiny winy, suggestion, tho? A few less flames couldn’t hurt. My browser wouldn’t scroll because animating the flames take all the computing power my machine (at work) has.
