God’s Video Game

Ok, now that everyone has stopped reading this, let me let you in on a little secret; I think we’re living in the perfect video game.
It struck me (in a good way, not an *ow* way) that the reason people love video games so much is that they are immersed in a world that is disproportionately easy to succeed in. If you think I need to prove this point let me ask one simple question; how many times can you die in real life? One. I thought so.
My brain being the dark, dangerous alley that it is, I began to think about what would God design as a video game? Furthermore, why didn’t God design the world where we can “regenerate” power as time passes, if we go to the gym and do 15 minutes of workout then we look like arnold, unrealistic things like that. The reason, I conclude, is that we must already be living in the quasi-optimal world.
I say quasi-optimal because, as we all know, there has been a curse on the earth, due to the Fall, so the earth isn’t as great as it could be. And we as human aren’t as great as we could be (when was the last time you heard of someone living 900 years).
Aside from this, enjoy the life you have as far as you can enjoy it. Sin entering the picture will definitely mar any chance of utopia, socially or otherwise, however this world was Good when God created it, and I believe that it is still within God’s plan.
Sorry about this one lacking a little on teh funnay, I’ll be better, I promise. Oh, and keep an eye out for a double-mushroom power-up for me. I’ve really been needing one of those.
